Observing Pudu Worship at Sunfong Temple
Did you know today marks the first day of "Ghost Month 鬼月" (the seventh month of the lunar calendar)? In Taiwanese belief, this is when the gate to the underworld opens.
In the middle of this month, on the 15th day (lunar calendar), we celebrate the "Ghost Festival / Zhongyuan Festival 中元節" with worship rituals and offerings to wandering spirits, praying for peace and safety in the year ahead.
Join us to observe the Pudu Worship (普渡) at Sunfong Temple (三鳳宮). We will explain the stories behind Ghost Month and Pudu Worship. These culture walks are hosted by volunteers. We are not professional guides, but we share sincere stories of Taiwan and Kaohsiung, the land we grew up on.
Date: September 6, 2025 (Saturday)
Time: 1:00 PM onward
